Awwwwww whassamatter LeagueGolf, didnt Howell roll over and play dead at the Ryder Cup like you were counting on??? Very inconsiderate of him that.

I dont recall him doing so bad over the water (when he bothers to go). He needs more self confidence, thats all. If he had Poulter or Casey's outrageous ego's he would be doing really really well. He has no weaknesses in his game, no strengths either I suppose but I think everyone of us would rather be above average at every part of the game rather than just great at one or two and honking at the rest.

An American that doesnt travel is always said to be supporting his tour. Europeans that dont play much in the states always seem to be 'scared of the competition'. Remember, we don't all learn this game on a tree lined turf nursery, the American game has always been a problem for some of our top guys. I dont recall all that many middle order US tour pros burning it up in the Open cos lets face it Howell (at the moment at least) is a middle order guy over here. But top 16 at Augusta and hopefully some strong performances at the rest of the years Majors should see him cement his place in the worlds top 30.
