Ted Purdy is a very down-to-earth guy. I used to work at his home course in Phoenix, AZ (Moon Valley Country Club) and he always spent more time hanging out with us in the bag room than in the pro shop or with the other members. He also lives in the surrounding neighborhood which is basically upper-middle class. Nothing fancy like Scottsdale or Paradise Valley. He's a solid dude.

Jonathan Kaye is cool too. His step-father is/was (can't remember) a member at Moon Valley and Jonathan played and practiced at Moon Valley frequently. He's nice and a real character. (If you know the real story about him getting suspended a few years ago, you know what I'm talking about.) He'd let us hit his clubs on the range sometimes too. That was sweet.

Bob Burns is nice. His in-laws were members. The PING tour players came through a lot as Moon Valley used to owned by PING. Most were cool. The coolest thing about working there (outside of free golf, gym, etc.) was the PING connection. We got to see a lot of prototype and "tour-only" clubs and hang-out with all the big-wigs from PING. They're all nice people. Especially the Solheim family. They're very down-to-earth and genuinely good people.
