One guys is a recent British Amateur champion, there are several mini tour players including one who has won before, a couple of PGA teaching pros, etc. If I wanted to see guys like this I would watch the Nationwide tour, which I don't. Seems to me that these guys have all had opportunites in the past. I mean being an Amatuer champion has got to open some doors for you and one guy has been a pro since the 80's. You think if they were going to make it they would've by now. I'd like to see someone come out of nowhere to have a chance at his 15 minutes...possibly more.
It's also frustrating watching these guys hack up a hole or blow straighforward wedge shots and make excuses. They were all complaining about the wind with a wedge shot but if you noticed the flag was limp and the co-host's long hair was barely moving during all of this...on a links course no less.
Just my .02
If you notice the mini tours these guys are on are several steps below the Nationwide tour. These guys have a long way to go to get up to that level. In that regard I do think these guys are looking to be able to make that big jump you're talking about.
