Breakfasts: Scrambled eggs (actually pretty much any eggs), pancakes, oatmeal, cereal (milk will help, if you like it like that. I know my brother hates milk with his cereal), soft fruits (aka. fruits that aren't crunchy; apples, for example)
Lunches: Soups (I'm a fan of Campbell's cream of Tomato soup), grilled cheese, egg/tuna/chicken salad sandwich, soft fruits, yogurt, and so on
Dinners: Pasta, mashed potatoes, vegetables (steamed or boiled to soften them up), tomatoes in any form that you'd like (I didn't include them as 'vegetables' because, as we all should know, tomatoes are fruits), rice, sloppy joes, meat pie, other stuff I can't think of right now
Desserts: Ice cream, any type of cream pie you'd like, cake, fruit salad, Jello, pudding
And I'd say lay off the beer, for no other reason than to help keep down the beer belly while you're dieting like this. When you come out of this with your jaw all better again, I think you'd like to be a few pounds lighter as well just as an added bonus.
Also remember, drink lots of water, and (barring lactose intolerancy) milk to keep your bones and teeth strong. I'm no doctor, but that'll probably help your jaw heal and then some, faster.
