The two biggest individual awards...

While a World Series win woulda been the ultimate award, the fact that Chris Carpenter and Albert Pujols (finally!!

) won the NL Cy Young and MVP, respectively, says a lot about how well the team played this season. Congrats to those two on great seasons, as well as the other guys who had fine seasons in their own right but came up short in the voting. Derek Lee would likely have been MVP if the Cubs didn't stink, and Andruw Jones leading the NL in HRs and RBI was an impressive double, although his low average was what did his MVP chances in. Dontrelle Willis also had a fine year for the Marlins, although he had a few more losses than Carp, and Roger Clemens had an amazing year at his age (or any other), posting that sub-2.00 ERA.
