I don't understand where you're going with that. How is the addition of the WGCs anything but beneficial to the PGA Tour? It wasn't like there weren't low-profile events with crummy fields before they were added to the schedule.
As for the rest, the growth or stabilization of purses will depend a lot on the next TV deal. If it is bigger than the one signed in 2000 or even the same, I'd expect that we'll see continued growth in purses.
