I got up this morning at 3:30 and went to work, so I was home by 1...since it was mid-50s and a little overcast, I checked the course out on a hunch just to *see* if they were open and to my surprise, they were! I was like a kid at Christmas.

Although I got poured on twice, the first 5 holes were played in relative dryness and surprisingly, the greens were pretty firm and I even got a little roll on the drives. Once the storms came through (thunderstorms in January in PA?

) the ground was wet but it was still great to get out there. I ended up shooting a 3-over 38 with a birdie on the 9th hole...punched a 9 iron from a bad lie to 12 feet and buried it.
