I understand the rationale and have tried it, of course (will try anything). I've even gone so far as to look for the ball's seam and draw the line on that. But then as I'm over the ball, I get neurotic about whether I accurately lined up the ball's line with my intended line of play, LOL. So now I just put the ball down and try to relax.
