Slick hit it dead on!! Depends on how you play most of your wedge shots.

I cannot say that everyone will shred balls, but I actually do shred a couple with my Durometers. That's a first for me. Maybe that will give you some idea of how much spin the Durometers put on the ball.

They have green or black inserts, shock dampening inserts. According to Mike Tait, owner of SMT, you generally cannot feel the dampening difference, but on the machines used to measure the shock generated when the head was being designed (you know designed, not cloned, oh gee, don't get me started), there was a 10% reduction in shock with the black. It's either 3% green, 13% black, or 4% green, 14% black, in terms of shock reduction, I do not recall which.
