This is what I get from a friend who works in the pro shop over at Twin Bridges: The Titleist HVC Distance SF is a ball made specially for high volume retailers. Wal-Mart, Target, etc. have them, but they aren't readily available to pro shops.
My personal experience: Used 'em, hated 'em, won't buy any more of 'em.
