I hope some of you saw this yesterday...
What is WRONG with Jim Gray? Or should I ask, how does this man keep his job on ESPN?
Immediately following the loss in a great match to Phil, John Daly is signing autographs for kids and along comes Jim Gray for the interview. After asking a few questions about the match in general, JD responds appropriately, describing how he feels he played well, etc. And just that he gave Phil some chances to capitalize blah blah blah....
Then comes the "John, are you finding it tough to play and concentrate with your wife in jail, and all that going on? (paraphrasing)". Daly replies with a long pause, a strange look at Gray, and, "I try to do my best all the time." After a VERY uncomfortable pause, Gray repeats himself, "But do you find it tough with this going on?" Another LONG pause and Daly says, "Sure it is."
Daly starts moving away, Gray keeps the microphone in his face trying to get something else out of a FURIOUS John Daly.
WHAT IS THE POINT OF THIS LINE OF QUESTIONING? What purpose does it serve? Daly is over there, happy with his loss, signing for kids, and he has to listen to this ****

from that pencil-neck Jim Gray?
I don't think I have been that angry in a LONG time. Gray is always pulling this ****

. Does anyone remember when he got way out of line a few years back in an interview with Pete Rose?
Jim Gray is a joke.
