Back in the day I put tape on my wedge shaft to slow my tempo a little bit. It can affect the kick of a shaft depending on where you put it. I would imagine lower would kick the head more. I would ask a more qualified clubmaker about this. Custom Golf Sales has a few folks with GR. Maybe they can answer that one better. (not a dumb question at all)
