I haven't tried the TL Tour, but I have used the Strata TL distance (also a 3 piece ball), which is comparable to The Callaway HX Hot in both driver distance and feel. They both have a slightly firmer cover than the pricier "tour" balls. Both are very long off the driver, but don't have the feel or hold the greens quite as well as most tour balls. However, they both will work well for average golfers. I use them somewhat interchangeably, but tend to favor the Callaways. You can usually get a better price on the TopFlite/Stratas (I paid $11 per dozen at Target recently, and paid $20 for my last dozen of HX Hots at a golf discount store). I would expect that the TopFlite Strata TL Tour would be somewhat shorter off the tee, but (hopefully) better performers around the greens. I think the best thing to do is get a sleeve of each of them, and alternate hitting them for a couple of holes to see which works best for you.
