Going to have maybe 2 or 3 players under par in the whole field, as nobody is breaking par right now and the conditions will probably be more difficult in the afternoon.
Some big names who were favorites going in are already in deep trouble (Luke Donald, Retief Goosen at +7 or worse) because you cannot make up many strokes on this kind of layout, they will be fortunate if they even make the cut.
Phil spent a lot of time specifically preparing for this event and scouting out the course, looks like the effort paid off. Jim Furyk and Vijay are good at grinding out pars, have to like their chances as well but who knows ...
