And yes, for a short time he could outplay Tiger (around late 1998, early 1999) but if anything, Duval's incredible playing spurred Tiger to all of a sudden turn into a monster in mid to late 1999 and on into 2000 and beyond. I always thought it was weird that Duval got his first major after getting into great shape, and yet it was probably his new physique that led to his slide from the world's elite group of players. He's got his old body type back and it looks like he's finding his old swing again...hopefully he'll get back on the top 10s, top 5s, and wins wagon before long.
