Until now the scum that represents the British tabloid media was mercifully absent from Ireland. The publication that has now embarrassed the country and the rest of Europe is a cheap rag with minimal circulation. They obviously thought this was a smart stunt - well I think it has seriously back-fired. Their web-site seems to have crashed, probably with the volume of complaints but possibly and hopefully because they have gone out of business. They deserve it.

All golf fans in Ireland and elsewhere in Europe are eagerly awaiting the competition and nothing would please us more than to send Tiger and his team-mates home with memories of a sound thrashing on the course. However we are also determined to show them regal hospitality and that was the case until this thrash emerged.

The same "Elin" photos have been doing the rounds for some time on the internet so it is hardly a new revelation, but for them to appear in an Irish publication at this time is a disgrace and all right thinking people are as furious as Tiger.
