One nice thing about keeping good etiquette is that occasionally you'll hear good things from better players.

For example, last week I got matched up with a threesome and on the second green I overheard one of them say something like "now there's a guy who knows to fix ball marks" (not quite word-for-word) while I was fixing up the "...and one more" mark. From a group that had clearly been playing together for a long time, I think that was pretty good.

Being a bit OC about etiquette (I hate typing that word) has now paid off, and in less than a year and a half of playing.

It makes for a better, smoother game and thank you to all who do so.
