I've hit a few over 300 yards, but that's using the yardage markers on the course to go by (plaque on tee says 450 yards, wind up inside the 150-yard marker on the fairway, straight hole.) These are rare and far between pured shots, sometimes a helping wind. My usal tee shot is 250-260 yards, very little, if any, roll as I usually have a slight fade. I've won one long drive competition in a scramble tourney. Length of my winning drive was only 250 yards on a slightly uphill, narrow fairway. One condition of the winning drive - had to be in the fairway. So, as is usually the case, a 250 yard drive down the middle is better than a 300 yard drive into the trees!
By the way, I may have to come back and update this post in the near future! I received my brand new, custom built driver yesterday from Christian at Solid Rock Golf. He took the Bang Storm head I won in the Custom Golf Sales contest (which he stepped in and procurred for me from Bang!) and matched it to an AccuLAUNCH 70 Stiff shaft, spine-aligned, then put a matching Winn grip on for added effect. Beautiful club! I will be posting pictures soon, I promise, and a report on how it has miraculously changed my game!
