Something else you might try that has worked for me in similar situatons: swing at about 3/4s of your normal speed. I was gettting my hands too far in front of the clubhead and was delofting everything. Slowing down let the club get the ball in the air properly and my drives gained about 10 yards from better impact in the sweet spot.
