Hi there.
We're heading down to the Grande Strand in late March (golf and the NCAA tourney - how sweet it is!

) and I was wondering if anyone had recent knowledge of the conditions down there. I read that last summer was so hot and dry that a lot of courses got torched. Does anyone know how they've bounced back? I haven't followed whether or not they've had a wet winter.
For those who care, we will be staying at Sandpiper Bay in Sunset Beach, NC (3rd year in a row - nice place, reasonable cost, lots of golf nearby, low tackiness quotient). The courses this year include Panther's Run, Sandpiper, Tiger's Eye & Pearl (west?).
- Pearl is the only new course for us on this trip
- Sandpiper is nice but nothing special, but the proximity makes multiple rounds easier.
- The Ocean Ridge courses (Panther's Run & Tiger's Eye) are my personal favorites so far.
