Assuming you play fairly standard clubs there is no good reason to take on the hassle of transporting your clubs. I have rented clubs at Kapalua, in Cabo and a few other places with great results, and I am left handed. All Kapalua had last time was Wilson Fat-shaft clubs, and I was disappointed. However, we got out on the course and my Dad was stealing clubs out of my bag. They were in great shape, and the "FatShaft" was very controllable and let us just go out and have a great time. I didn't even think about the clubs after I hit the first par 3 (#5 on the Bay Course) to within 2 feet. It is still one of the best shots I have ever hit, but the fact that it was in such a beautiful setting is what makes it so memorable.

It is hard not to enjoy playing golf in Hawaii. Whatever you decide to do you will have a great time, but make it easy on yourself and just play what they have there, your memories will be great regardless.
