I understand. I hit the G2s well, but I wanted a little more "juice" out of my short game, so I took the chance. As I said, I am very pleased with these wedges, and the price was right. Here's what Ping says on their website:
PING's reputation for performance and versatilty in wedge design dates back to the development of the EYE2 model—a favorite among tour professionals worldwide. Today, PING wedges offer even more versatility and reliability for all types of players.
The new iWedge borrows the proven sole technology of the EYE2 and combines it with a multi-level cavity for improved performance from all conditions. The Tour Wedge features a classic look and milled grooves provide added control around the green.
I hit them at a local retailer and liked the feel. I called Ping and talked to a fitter and he told me that Chris DiMarco tried them a week before last year's British Open and liked them so much that he took a set with him and played them. But I didn't buy them for that reason (I'm no CD

. I bought them because I like the way they perform. I feel I have more control, and they spin better.
