Guys now are just fine with finishing in the top ten (or top 125 for the year, for that matter), If you needed eagle to get in a playoff, but dropping to fourth place would cost you $200K, would you go for the green or lay up? There is less pressure to win now - just play well and earn a million.

Didn't the top 80 last year all earn one million? In Jack's time, the 80th guy was probably sleeping in his car. I know that Tiger could adapt to any equipment, but those guys of the past were hitting 1 irons and persimmon.
