Do not take your own clubs, especially if you have a connecting flight. The Hawaii golf courses are use to renting clubs and they do a pretty good job keeping their equipment in top shape.

I mentioned in another post that if you're going to Maui, you need to go to the island of Lanai ($26 ow ferry) and golf at the Lodge at Koele and the Manele Bay Hotel. Ranked 1 and 2 in the top 100 Golf Resorts.
