Re: Weekly Contest #7: If you could have lunch with anyone...

My brother, without a doubt. You see, my brother was kiled at the age of 18 in a single car accident. This occurred in Feb, 1969. I was born in April of 1970.

To this day, I can't seem to comprehend how someone whom I've never met could have such a profound influence on my life, be it good or bad. Needless to say, I was overprotected as a child.

It's odd how similar we are/were. He sang in a band and at school, I sang at school, and, now, at weddings, in church etc.. He was an extremly good student in school, and I wasn't too shabby, either. Our senior high school pictures are eerily similar with the only real difference being that our hair is parted on different sides.

Yes, I'd like to meet my brother, to learn what kind of person he was, and would have been. To see if the thoughts I have are close to the ones he had. Does he like the person Ive become?

Had he not been killed, my parents wouldn't have had another child. I owe my life to his death. It's just something that has always been in the back of my mind.
