Re: Anthony KIm, the next rival for tiger?
I agree completely with Bob.
I don't root for Tiger, because I feel it is almost a given that he will beat the rest of the players. He played somewhat poorly on Sunday and really did not hit the ball well, but showed his great short game skills, by even having a chance to win it. When he is on, the rest can play for 2nd.
I find it odd that so many people root for him. It's like rooting for Oklahoma when playing Baylor in the 1970's in college football. I would rather see the upset than the favorite win each time. Maybe, I am the crazy one, but I think the upset is more fun to watch.
I do believe that someone else will rise and present a challenge to Tiger in the future, it just is not the current bunch. Phil is awesome in the short game, but does not have the mind of Tiger and attention to details that Tiger has. Tiger has great physical and mental skills and his competitive spirit is unrivaled today. That combination is quite unique.
As for Kim, he is definitely an up an coming player and I hope the US team gets more players like him for future ryder cups. He is a breath of fresh air for american golf. So is Sean O'Hair.
