The first thing you notice about this driver is how light it is, but in spite of the light weight, you can feel where the head is at all times in your takeaway. This club is very easy to swing and yet you don't get any sensation that you are not playing within yourself. I was playing a TM 580XD, and liked it very much, but the stiff tip of the shaft would not let me fully load the shaft with my lousey SS.
This 50 gm shaft is a bit more flexible than the 580's and i can fully load it. I'm getting a bit higher ball flight with this club, but it' s not ballooning. First 3-4 drives were slight pulls until I moved the ball back in my stance about 2", then straight , some with a little tailing fade. Straight or a slight fade is my usual ball pattern. The sound is good, somewhat muted. I like choking down on the grip, so as to play at 45", bit less dispersion. The FA is definitely closed , looks like about 1*, even on bad swings, I could not hit a slice. First play will be MOnday, but, after one session, I'm very, very, pleased with this club.
