As the OP stated, and others reiterated, shutting it down for some time might be a good thing.

Neither her health or mental outlook seems to be in good shape at the moment. A little time of may be a good thing for her, to let the wrist heal, and to keep from eroding her confidence any further.

Long term, I think she will have a good career, but this year has been a train wreck.

One thing that is interesting about Michelle is back when she was 13 it looked like she might be the longest woman off the tee ever. But the reality is there are now a good half dozen gals who can put it past her even when she is healthy.

Which really speaks to the absurdity of her competing against men. Versus the guys on the big Tour, she's gonna outdrive Dimarco and Pavin and not too many others.
