1. There is a starter's tent near the first teebox where the players check-in and receive their scorecards for that round.

2. Some players yell fore. Some just look away in disgust and let their caddie handle it. You'll generally see at least one person point their arms to the left or right.

3. On the PGA Tour, there is at least one person following each group that has 2-way radio. If a rules official does not happen to be following that group, one will be called over the radio and the nearest available will drive his cart over to that hole.

4. A rules official does not have to be notified. But, you do have to inform the other golfer(s) in your group. They can call over an official if they have a question about what you are doing.

5. Funds are direct deposited into players accounts within a couple of days.
