Why not set it up like the US Am...take the top 125 and have them play 36 holes stroke play...top 64 advance to match play..if you make it to match play you get some money, if not you get nadda...each round of match play has an ever increasing money prize attached to it so as you advance the prize get larger....losers in match play would get a lovely parting gift....final match play has the biggest dollars attached to it...36 holes, winner take all....if you want to make some concessions to top players you could expand the field to 135 and make the top ten on the money list exempt from stroke play qualifying, so they get an automatic monetary amount because they go straight to match play...the entire tournament would take one week...
