It was 100+ degrees almost every day from July 1st through the end of August. The days in the low 90's, and high 80's have seemed cool.
Somehow, I don't think God intended bent grass greens for the south. As long as it stays high 80's like it has been for almost a week, East Lake should be fine. We've had lots of nice courses lose the greens this year because of all the heat, and the lack of rain.
I almost always play on bermuda grass greens, but two of the courses in my immediate area either lost greens completely, or had to open temporary greens to save the bent grass. I guess the East Lake crowd would rather lose the greens than play on temporaries.
