As a retailer, I've played golf with wholesalers more as a way of getting to know them than to close a deal of any kind. I think it's always good to build relationships with the people that work for you or with you. The golf course, I've found, is a good place to do that. Some of those wholesalers have become very good friends and frequent golf partners.
