The softness of a Gamer I would compare to an NXT, AD333 and Bridgestone E5.
The Wilson 50's I found too soft and lacking in distance for me but they did play well on real cold mornings.
What I like about the Gamers is that they are a Great Distance Ball like the D2's but have the soft feel of a D2 feel with the decent spin of an NXT.
The main thing is that there are finally good quality balls available for peope who just can't see playing for Nike One's and Pro V's.
The Nike's you mentioned were next on my list to try and probably will when the store runs out of Gamers.
That's what I'm hoping for with the Gamers. I played the D2 Feels this past season as my regular ball. I also played the NXT Tour some but didn't like coughing up $30/doz. for them. If the Gamer spins anywhere near the NXT Tour and otherwise plays like the D2 Feels then I'll love them. Can't wait for the snow and cold weather to disappear to give them a try!
