Azinger is on the right track with total revamping the points. However, there's some things I will look for in this event.

1. Will he decide to pick rookies as his captain's picks? Given their past perfromances, I think experience is overrated for the Americans. Give me rookies who aren't used to losing the Ryder Cup!

2. Will it be the American team or Tiger's team? Hal Sutton and Tom Lehman put the focus on Tiger. Tiger can help the team. However, the U.S. can mathematically win if Tiger and (even) Phil get shut out. If Tiger and Phil each win 5 matches, we still can lose. It has to be a team effort. Note Nicklaus never mentioned the President's Cup as Tiger's team.

3. Their Friday morning matchup. The U.S. has led off with Tiger the past few years and failed miserably on opening day. Note Nicklaus had Tiger in the final match of the opening slate of matches for the President's Cup. I think Azinger should do the same. I believe it will help the rest of the teammates focus on their matches.
