I try to set up a little closed (I tend to draw the ball) with my feet shoulder width apart..I try to make sure my head is behind the ball, and I try to make sure my weight shifts to the inside of my right foot on the way back. Low and slow back, with a full shoulder turn...Then back down, and this is where I must be messing up (although probably not the only place).
What is frustrating is that one hole I can lace a great drive, and the next hole I pull hook it into the next fairway...
Anyway, thanks for the tips!!!!! Any more ideas would be appreciated..And I will keep plugging away....
A little bit of a close stance is not bad on the longer clubs. We all have a problem coming back down to the ball properly. I recently had a round where I was striking the ball well the first twelve holes then things went to ****. Weak hits, a shank or two. I realize now I was just rushing down to the ball, losing my spine angle and plane and going over-the-top.
