It doesnt matter what any local rules say...If you sign an incorrect scorecard thats an auto DQ..you did the right thing though..for sure..dont listen to the idiots..and yes ill say IDIOTS that tell you not to say anything..they arent true golfers if they say that..In order to play this game guys..YOU MUST KNOW THE RULES...and anyone that doesnt play by the rules in a bona-fide cheater....now im not saying someone who rolls the ball to get a good lie when playin with your buddies..****..everyone has done that once or twice...but in tournament play...rules are rules and must be followed...as far as the "committee" that didnt DQ you and allowed you to break the rules pretty much...wel...imo they should be fired..lol..because what happens next time someone else does this...or maybe some other rule and they allow it to slide...it isnt fair to everyone else...if you feel its in your well being not to take the punishment for the break..well...that just shows how much respect you have for the game...Its a gentlemans game...honesty being the main factor...but hey...thats just my opinion...everyone has one..
