Another good men's league score today to follow up my 1st Net 36 from last week. We played the back nine this time and I shot 1 over 37.
I started off with bogey because my drive caught the right side of a tree and just dropped down. It's a good line to play because it otherwise would have kicked into the middle of the fairway. I only hit my second shot about 15 feet and the tree still interfered with my swing, but I hit it on from there anyway. I had to two putt from about 80 feet, though.
On the second hole, I got on in two for the first time that I can think of. I had another good long two putt and got a birdie this time.
On the third hole, a long par 3, I hit a poor tee shot into a bunker, made a mediocre long bunker shot, then made a great putt to save par. It barely fell into the hole - side door drop.
I played pretty solid, but I shanked a 3/4 wedge approach shot on #17, a par 5. I had to make a 6 foot or so putt for bogey.
Here is the scorecard and stats.
The low round was a 36 so far...the 37 should have another chance for 1st Net...handicap updating time for the league no doubt hehe. My USGA is 4.7 and it's under 4 for the league...they go to tenths for Net scores and keep their own handicap for the league.
Tomorrow morning, it's an annual company 9 hole tournament. It's supposed to be colder and rainy...already been postponed once from two weeks ago. :o(
