If you just build clubs, and not pull any shafts. you can save a lot of money on tools. If you have never built a club before, I'd recommend you take the 1/2 day clubmaking class at Golfsmith. I think it's still free, and you get to build a free wedge and will learn all you need to know about simple club assembly and what tools you'll need. I took the clase years ago and it was well worth the time.
