Does it hurt or benefit your game at all to practice with golf shoes rather than just sneakers? Maybe I am one of the only ones who practices with something other than golf shoes but could the difference in traction from each trip actually cause a problem? I practice almost everyday with just shoes that I have on and I slide a bit, but when I put on the shoes I grip the ground which can throw me off at first. I practice a lot more than I play due to transportation and Financial reasons (I am on 16) so could having the traction and grip of sneakers hurt my game when I switch to my golf shoes for a round?

Saying that the difference can throw you off at first, you answered you own question, IMO. It does matter! Start practicing in your golf-shoes, or playing in your sneakers! The first option is preferred, because sliding isn't desirable.
I have seen good golfers hit great shots in flip-flops at the range, but much more often I see lesser golfers with useless 'summer-footwear' and it seems that they haven't got a chance to hit a good golf-shot because of it.
The first group can play in any footwear because they are able to swing in balance, without putting much stress on their feet. They might practice in less than ideal footwear, to ensure that they make a smooth in-balance swing.
The second group need all the help they can get to keep themselves planted.
Long story short: If you find yourself sliding, you need shoes with better traction.
