Re: Anyone ever try the Mizuno MP FLi Hi
I have one, 18* and hate it...the sole is too fat, can't open the face and hit a high floating cut that easily without the bounce coming into play, and the shaft though an s300 like I was playing in both sets of irons when I bought the thing feels much softer, my guess is from the big, oversized head making the shaft play softer than it would with a regular iron head on it...am planning on trying to reshaft it, but I am also convinced the thing is a hook machine as it is a little closed and a bit offset, more than I care for...could be the softie shaft closing too much through impact, will withold judgement on that until I waste some more money trying to make the thing work for me...hybrids are easier from a variety of lies, I personally think they are less accurate than a long iron PROVIDED YOU CATCH IT CLEAN...distance control is the key difference with a touch of accuracy falling on the long iron side...hybrids go the same distance for me most of the time and are just more reliable in the end even if I don't like hitting them...the Mp fli hi wasn't the answer I was looking for...just found it to be oversized and clumsy...
I have a new five wood that fills that slot now that is money...but it isn't iron accurate...but then again I'm not a pro and am pretty much happy to be anywhere on the green on a good day or in the vicinity on the rest from 215-230...
