I used to take mulligans, back before I had a membership anywhere and I was too young and inexperienced to know better. Since then, I've seen mulligan-ers to be cheaters, and when I do see someone do it, I bow my head in shame (No offense to mulligan-ers here)

Anyway, I'm sorry to say I actually do cheat at times (i.e. if I'm not sure where to drop the ball, I almost always elect to do the fairway, or if it goes into the drink, I'll drop it AFTER the water instead of before it, if that makes sense). I guess I'm a hypocrite, because I see others do the same stuff as I do, and again, I am ashamed. Then I think about myself, laugh a little, and continue playing.

However, though, I do assess myself two-stroke penalties on a lot, whether I know I should get 2 or if I'm unsure so I just play as honestly as I can. I guess it kind of evens out in the end.
