Re: Need help buying clubs

I would NEVER recommend anyone to buy a SET of clubs like you are looking at. NONE of them are what I would call GOOD QUALITY clubs. I would recommend instead that you buy a decent set of IRONS only for a start. You can buy either new irons or used ones from a place like Calaway Pre-owed. New you can buy from either Hireko Golf or Giga Golf and get very good irons for under $300 for the set. Less than that if you only buy 5-PW, which is what I'd recommend you start with. Sorry to spoil your day, but that 15 piece set you mention is going to be nothing by CHEAP JUNK. If you do buy it, I'd be willing to bet one or more of the clubs will break inside 60 days. And the quality will be so BAD, that it will make learning to play golf just that much harder than it already is. Bottom line is just buy some decent or good IRONS and learn how to hit the ball. THEN you can add some woods and a driver when YOU are ready. Might want to buy a low price putter to go with your irons so you can at least play some Par 3 holes and putt out.
