I played a little practice round on a tough course. almost 7100 yards from the tips, and you have to drive it straight! Rating is 76.4 and 136 slope or something like that.
I shot an 82 (10 over), but really hit my irons poorly, perfect conditions. I really think i could have done really well if i hit my irons well, cause i was launching my driver and there was about 15 km/h winds which confused me sometimes. My L wedge saved me, pins were tucked crazy and i think without it i would have shot atleast 3 strokes higher. My putter wasn't hot, very streaky. Overall i am happy i guess, i know what it is like for my tournament in a few weeks now.
But really if i hit my irons good i could have tore that course apart. Only made 2 birdies, both of them i stiffed, one from 125 the other from 187 on a par 3 with a 6 iron. Should have made alot more pars though. The thing with my irons was i would mis judge them and they wrere hit perfect right at the pin, but short or long and if i was sure i had the right club i would hit the club like poop.
