it is possible to consiously keep the clubface open thru the swing "fading" or closing it "hooking"
a slight grip change will help this
but if your tense ...or your timing is slightly out you could well have an open clubface at and thru impact
afterall ....you well know theres only 2 things that make it slice ...swingplane and clubface at impact
