I noticed the same thing! Not that I usually notice men's hair mind you
I've always thot Nantz hits the right tone in his role and seems like a nice guy - it isn't as important for a man to look 'pretty' as it would be a woman to be on the tube. You rarely, if ever, see an unattractive woman in any role, sports or otherwise, on the screen. Lots of ugly looking guys tho - even I'm easy enough to look at to be in the booth compared to what I've seen!
