I can sum up your "grass is always greener syndrome" in five words.

It's called being a golfer.

That is why 100 shooters wish they could play in the 90's.

Once they reach the 90's they wish they could play in the 80's.

Once they reach the 80's they wish they could play in the 70's.

Once they reach the 70's they wish they could shoot even par.

Once they reach even par they wish they could break 70.

Once they break 70 they wish they could play on the tour.

Once they play on the tour they wish they could break 60.

Basically, no golfer will ever be satisfied with his or her score.
