The 510 TP is the best Taylor Made driver I've played to date. I haven't tried the r7 nor the r5 but I'm a former owner of a 320Ti and have tried the 540XD and 580XD in addition to the 510 TP. When I made my last driver purchase, it ultimately came down to this driver and the 983K in which I chose the 983K.

The main thing I like about this driver is I think the head size is perfect. I rate the 983K 4 stars (Birdie) mainly because I wish that driver were 390 cc's like this one. I find the head size gives me great confidence and I don't think I ever hit a shot off of the toe or a sky with this driver. The head size also isn't too big like the 580XD. I think 390 cc's is the perfect head size for a driver.

It was actually a close call between the 983K and the 510 TP but ultimately, I chose the 983K because I got a little more distance. I am a fade hitter and hit a pretty consistent fade with the 510 TP. All in all, I think the 510 TP is a great driver and would definitely recommend it.
