Having just observed the Yankee hitters from less than 100' (yesterday, when they closed out my Twins), I must say that they are one scary lot. A lot of these guys are huge (didn't realize how big A Rod is). Gary Sheffield is a monster (not meant as a put-down): He's mammoth, digs in, crowds the plate, and swings from his heels. I've never seen anyone take cuts like he does.
History, of course, favors the Yankees. But I do see what Card is saying above about RedSox pitching. Guess I'd say the Sox have the best chance they've had in a while. But the Yankees seem to find a way into the World Series.
OK, enough avoidance of the question. I'm rooting for the Sox but picking the Yankees.
