Replacing worn grips regularly is a helpful tip. If you're looking to restore the tacky feeling on a synthetic grip just spray them lightly with Windex Ammonia Window Cleaner after cleaning them. You'll be amazed at the tacky feel. I keep a small spray bottle of Windex in my trunk and use it regularly.
