Lots of discussion on this on many golf forums. IMO - if you get an old club, and fill the inside of a shaft with lead pellets, it will accomplish the same thing.

Be careful no-one throws their back out trying to swing it too hard! I know VJ uses it, but I don't see the value of this as a training aid.
